Several months ago I went on a buying spree on off-road design and picked up a pair of Dana 60 axle tube outer seals. I thoroughly believe I clicked on the wrong thing and just did not take it out of my cart. Since I have them I was planning on installing them. I have a pair of new axle tube inner seals of course but I was wondering if anyone has experience with the outer axle tube seals?

I was wondering how far they are installed in the tube as well as any pros and cons.

I also found this interesting video from some guy in the UK. He describes how outer axle Seals fail and how he solved the problem. His link to the blue outer seals is for a Swedish company and I don't speak the language. Interesting none the less.

The stock inner seals are only good for keeping the oil in and that’s meh at best.
If you plan to submerge it, then these are good. They work best with aftermarket shafts and not the oem shafts that get larger in the middle of the shaft and come back down towards the yoke.

Pretty sure my shafts are OEM. I'm about to prep them for reinstall since I seem to have my gears ready.
