If it's got a flat surface that is absolutely perpendicular to the axis of the kingpins, yes, that would be ideal.

I'm looking at aftermarket D60 arms now, e.g.

and the flat part in the middle would be perfect.

I donno what factory ones look like, as I am too poor to have a D60

yea im ordering their u-bolt and spring plate kit as well as their steering arm and adjustable kingpin kit
