dana 60 (washers?)

They are a 1/16 thick IIRC with a 1/2 inch hole in the center. They are about the same diameter as the cap. They fit right in.......What size tire are you running? 35's require 2 washers under each cap. 33's require 1 washer. I just did this before blazer bash.

33's or 35's shouldn't require any washers.

I've run 37's and 42's on my D60 and I've never had any problems, I'm not running any washers. I've had my current 42's at 60+ and I've never had any DW.

IMO, washers are usually a bandaid for some other problem.

Well, I had all new parts in my 60 with 35's when it was a DD, and it was great for about 6000 miles and then I started to get DW. I then put 2 washers in there and that worked great until I put those creepy's on there without a stabilizer, so I put a 3rd washer in there and it has been fine when I have to drive on the road back to the trailer.

Some have good luck and dont need washers. I just so happen to need them.

ok ill have to give it a try without and then with if needed, thanks alot guys..

I have DW with my TSLs but not my MTRs (both 40s). The TSLs are so out of round and unbalanced. If I air the TSLs down to 10 though they are fine, just bad at street pressure (20psi)

i put in one 1/8 thick washer today and when its turned it has none , when straight it has half as much. can i put more in ??? there is a mud bogg next weekend and i wana get it tightened up as much as i can. ill order the kingpin rebuilding parts the week after.

Did you put one in on each side. If so, sure, try another one. If you put too many in, the steering will be too tight.

no i just put em in the left upper, ill try more to c what happens. should i do the other side even if its tight???

this might seem like a dumb question but can you put washers in the bottom ? ive seen it done but only to the top. ill do whatever it takes to work.....thanks

No, you cant shim the bottom. Do yourself a favor and get a new spring and bushing for each side and go from there. 18$. If you still have problems, put a fender washer under EACH cap.

i ordered the spring and bushing, just gota wait till it comes in, ill let ya know what the out come is.
