Dana 60???????

Should be easy as cake..just look for any K30 and grab the front end. Nobody else will have thought of that, plus they're so plentiful the yards are spilling over with them...kinda explains the 1/2 off sale.

Lotsa luck... /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif

Yeah good luck at a yard thats doing a 1/2 off sale /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif

Just look on the lower right corner below the diff cover it should say 60F. Also make sure it has kingpins and not ball joints. Oh yeah only 3 U-bolts.

Good luck even finding a K30 in a yard, never mind it still having a complete D60 front...and to top it off getting it 'on sale'. /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif

Supply versus demand is not on your side when you're looking for a D60 front. /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif

I love sarcasm.... /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif

What's this "half off sale" you talk about? No such thing in Joisey /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

Every big holiday the local junk yard has a half off sale. I saw 2 suburbans 2500 yesterday. The front diffs. was complete. Going to check on Friday to see if it is a dana 60.

2500 Subs won't have one...unless it was swapped in. IIRC they only came in 77-87 1 Ton pickups. Sorry, but good luck I've been looking for a "good deal" on a 60 for a couple years. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Don't overlook the dodge 1 ton. A little spring spreading and your in bizness.

[/ QUOTE ]If the K30 deal I'm waiting on doesn't work, then I'm going to bite the bullet and buy a rebuilt Dana 60 from Boyce

Get a dually if you can get a decent price. Less then $300 will convert it to a Single Wheel.

Hey while the money is dripping from your arse just spring for a Dynatrac ProRock 60.... /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

[/ QUOTE ]That would be twice the cost of buying a rebuilt from Boyce. /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif

Look for a 4x4 tow truck or small chevy dump trucks (4x4) usally have 60's up front

The only problem with those is they're usually high mile, been worked real hard too...IMO the best D60 deals out there are still the Ex-M1008 D60's and 14 bolts. Good gearing, usually low mile and very little 'use'. The set I got only had 35,000 miles on them and had the gearing I wanted. The thought of paying $1000 for a diff I need to strip and rebuild was not very appealing.

Totally not worth it. You could find a dually 60 for 1,000 and totally rebuild it and have it cheaper than a boyce one.

dont listen to these guys.

just stop looking because you wont find it. /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif
