I have basically no idea what you are asking... be more clear please.

Re: dana 60 6 lug

no picture, some one who worked on off road vehicles for a living told me that there was such an animal. that was what made them heavy half ton trucks

Back in the 67-72 style trucks, there was (as a rare option) a 6-lug Dana 60 rear in some 1/2-tons. AFAIK, it was a c-clip design with 30-spline axles.

The "Heavy-Half" and "Big 10" script didn't show up until the 73-80 style. I had a '79 C10 Heavy-Half w/454... it just had the 12-bolt.

sorry dana 60, i heard heavy-halfs had them with a six lug pattern

[/ QUOTE ]front or back?
Fronts only come in 8 lug and there is a few semi floater 60 rears that are 6 lug IFAIK

One of the off-road mags showed a Ford awhile back that had a rare Dana 60 front with ball joints and either 5 or 6 lug wheels. It was a factory truck, basically stock, nothing custom made or anything like that.

Never heard of anything like that in a Chevy though.

Re: dana 60 6 lug

You can get 6 lug hubs from Six States Dist. In UT. They are around $180 ea. As far as a front 6 lug from the factory, NO. When you consider that GM put 44's and 10 bolts in the HD 3/4 tons, the wouldn't have put a 60 in the front of a HD 1/2 ton. As far as rear 6 lug 60's, I don't know. A friend had a 68 GMC that had a 6 lug D44 rear. And I have seen several 3/4 tons from the 67-72 vintage that had the optional FF 60 rear (As opposed to the Eaton). I haven't heard of a GM 6 lug rear 60. I wonder if J**p had one in the back of the Fullsize J trucks?

Only Kaiser Jeep J trucks to the best of my knowledge had six lug D60 rears.
GM had plenty of D60 8lug rears full float or semi float.
As for a D60 with 5 or 6 lug I have never heard of this and I have all the 4x mags for the past 10 years and don't remember seing this but no body is perfect I might have and forgot /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif
But if it was, it would be so rare, don't bother looking.
Now if you want a D60 with six lug, you will have to go to aftermarket and there are plenty, from Curry to six states to... all the major axle builders, can't remember all the names.
they make D60's with any bolt pattern you want and I think they would sell the hubs for the right price.

It was 4 Wheeler or 4W&OR. It wasn't a feature truck, it was something they saw out on the trail or something and had a little blurb on it.

Re: dana 60 6 lug

It was an F-100, i forget the exact year. It had a single speed t-case and a 5-lug D 60

Re: dana 60 6 lug

65-69 (and possibly earlier) F100 could be had with a 5-lug Dana 60 rear. I believe they (and the GM 6-lug version) came with a Powr-Lok.

IH made a 5-lug D60 rear as well - same pattern as the Ford.
