I found a set of axles dana 60 drw front and a dana 70 dually rear out of a chevy. im gonna try to get a hold of him to find out if its from a c&c or a regular pickup.

but what all would I have to do to the rear to make it work on my blazer i know the front i have to swap hubs. I just wanna know whats all involve to see if its even worth my time. thanks for the input guys.

well thats the perfect setup if you wanted to run unmodified hummer beadlocks. all you would need to do is swap the dana 70 hubs for some SRW 14bff hubs, and it would be the same width as the front with the dually hubs.

this is what i plan on doing as soon as i can find a DRW 60 for a reasonable price.

otherwise i dont think the 70 would work for what you want because it is too wide.

I never swapped my hubs, and the H1's fit just fine. If it's a Dana 70HD, it's from a full width truck, the C/C trucks all used the 14 bolt FF axle

thanks for the input guys im thinking i might pick these up I was thinking if i did get these I probaly would convert to disk brakes on the rear idk how much that would change the width though.

got another question, If I dont run the h1 wheels and I swap hubs a buddy of mine has a dana 61 will the hubs off of that work on the 60? thanks guys

Yep, afaik the one real difference on a 61 is the housing itself. I'm not sure what year 61's started but be sure it uses internal style locking hubs.

iirc it came out of a late 80s dodge ill have to get a hold of him and check. so if I go this and do the disc conversion on the back it should be the same width as a srw

A rear disc conversion will not change the width of the axle. In fact, if the D70 is from a pick up (not a c & c) it'll be extra wide - around 74" wms - and short of narrowing the housing nothing you do will make the same as a srw front axle.

thanks for the info. so about my only option of making this axle work is running h1 wheels. ive been trying to find a set for sale but havent had any luck.

thanks for all the info so far im still trying to learn all this stuff, by the time im done idk if ill even remember all this stuff lol.

thanks for the info I still dont know what im gonna do yet these axles here are setup with 4.56 gears and he wants 850 for the set.

Then he also has just a dana 60 front out of a dodge with 4.88s for 650.

im goin this weekend to check them out either way im coming home with something.

holy shat!!!! ive been looking for the 70hd with 4.56 forever. found carriers but never found the axle complete! eventually just gave up on that. i would buy them right up, thats the hot setup man.

im still undecided. was kind of leaning towards on the 60 with 4.88s cause I couldnt find any h1 wheels. but I just found a guy thats got them for $60 a peice just waiting on to see how much shipping will be.

holy shat thanks alot for the link. cant beleive i was finding places selling them for over 300 a peice.

just got back from picking them up gotta the dana 60, the 70, and the guy through in a 14 bolt full floater and gave me some cross over steering parts. all for 850 the only thing that sucks is its missing lockouts but im sick and tired of looking for a good deal on axles.

i hate you! :D JUST KIDDING, sweet deal! wish i could find a deal that good. i cant even find a 60 under a thousand locally. i found a 70HD that i will probably get for free, just have to wait untill dude finds another axle to replace it with.

get them axles under something and post up some pics!

ill get some pics for sure hopefully i can get my h1 rims ordered this week then my tires soon after trying to get as much stuff done as i can before racing starts in may after that wont have near as much time or money to work on it.
