Dang, something in my rearend let go today

It would be nice, but it's a done deal, I'm gonna swap the 12-bolt in. Right now, I HAVE to get this thing on the road. Maybe down the road, I'll go for the real upgrade. I just need to know more about the yoke change.

NO. Your "new" 12 bolt will already have that . You need a s44 to 1310 u-joint if the 12 bolt is from an auto truck , and a s44 to 1350 if your lucky and it was from a 4 speed truck ( but not all had that even on 4 speeds ) .

I wouldn't worry about the 12 bolt too much if you aren't rockcrawling , or standing on the pedal . I have only broken a housing weld since I have run one , and I have to think it was by running highway gears and 35's with a peg leg front axle ( now locked and 4.56 :pimp: ) .

No.

You need a conversion U-joint.....basically a u-joint that has different size ends on the cross. One size will fit your driveshaft and one size the 12 bolt.

12 bolts are 1310 size and your driveshaft (if you have an automatic) should be S44. Find a u-joint with that combination and you should be set.:D

S44 to 1310 = Neapco 3-3130
S44 to 1350 = Neapco 2-1153

Got the new-to-me 12-bolt put in this past Sunday. Supreme70 went way out of his way to help me out and it was greatly appreciated. Thanks again to everyone who gave advice and helped me out! :waytogo:
