DDing 12.50 tire on 8" rim??

are you talking about putting the rim in the tire or seating the beads?

i do all my own tires by hand, with tire iron's. rarely have a problem. if a tire guy has a problem and he's using a machine, he should go work at mcdonalds.

what about 37x12.50R16 SSRs on stock 16x6.5, love the look with the stock caps but theyre damn skinny.

Well, several of us have said we've done similar...you do the math.:D:wink1:

Most tire manufacturers recommend a 12.50 for an 8-10 inch wheel. I used to work at a tire/wheel shop, and I have installed them on anything from a 7 to a 12 inch wide wheel. I wouldn't go any narrower than a 7, or wider than a 10 for 12.50s. On an 8 or 10 inch wheel, the tread width/flatness won't be any different, only the sidewall/bead. Basically, it's just 1 inch per side difference.
