my dd is a honda, 30 mpg rice burner. i would have to sell my kidneys to be able to afford gas in the blazer for all the driving i do, gas here is up to 3.50$ a gallon

Buy a cheapo car for DD and the K5 for weekends/messin around.

definitely. besides the obvious mpg benefit, 2 vehicles are better than one in almost every way. my 94 c1400 is my gas sipper at 18-21mpg and the k5 gets a lot of downtime. but, if one is broken, i always have the other to fall back on until i get the time to turn wrenches.

Ok gas here today is $3.69 a gal. I am looking to buy a moped and just sit in my K5 and say yep with a beer in my hand!

It is not quite as bad here at only 3.19, but yeah the K5 which was bought specifically for a second vehicle, has seen more downtime with me sitting in the driveway, beer in hand, and saying man I wish I could go wheeling. Might have to replace the tranny in the Astro just for the 20-25 mpg it gets.
