I went to adjust my distributor and got zapped :doah:
These are brand new wires. Just annoyed by the low quality and the super long cables. Anyone know a reasonably priced set of wires that are the correct length? 87 chevy blazer.

I like MSD and Taylors...
Any particular version? I looked it's like a sea of wire brands and models lol
I've got header but I dont think that matters. I'm using standard wires now and they dont melt.

MSD's 8.5 super conductor is a nice wire I've used that before...

Taylor 's 8.2 Thundervolt's are a good economy wire.. I'm gonna run their 10.4 409's this time round..

Make sure that you get correct spark plug boot to get the wires as far away from the headers as possible. Some are 90 and some are straight.

Got a set of super conductors on the beaumont, no complaints so far.

Got a set of Accel 8.8s on the ton, only problems Ive had a few wires that the plug end of the boot has elongated and become loose over time. Nothing a pair of pliers cant fix though :D

MSD hands down. If you want to "build" your own so they aren't overly long those kits come with the tool for stripping the wire and crimping the connector on.

Another vote for the MSD 8.5mm Super Conductor here. Great set of wires, very well made, and they have them in pre-cut sets for the Chevy SB. Not exactly cheap, but well worth the cost (around $80) IMO.

I have the MSD super conductors as well. Probably the only kit set where I didn't have tons of floppy wire hanging everywhere. MSD actually nailed all the different wire lengths.

Accel is crap.

just a word here... obviously we all like the MSD's, but I would just say not to discount Taylors... they make an excellent wire and have been a leader in the industry for decades.. I'm sure MSD has a few more sales due to name recognition....

i used to use the cheapest.. but now..

Only MSD 8.5....
to go with my msd distributor
msd coil
msd cap and rotor
msd 6-AL
msd in cab timing control
msd adjustable rev pill

oh sheeze im an MSD FAN BOY NOW!!!!!!!!!! :haha:

What version did you buy? Most I am finding are universal so you have to cut and crimp your own. I'd prefer not to have to do that.
