Decision Time! My humble build! "Flexed" it, 5/21/09!

I kinda gotta show off his toy too! It's not a Chevy, but he is running my old 6" shocks in custom brackets though. Actually, there is quite a bit of custom stuff. When he is "done", I will post up on it. It should be pretty impressive.

For now...318ci motor. Numbers say it is a race application. D44's locked at both ends. 36x12.5 SX's. Soon to have full cage, custom bumpers, Duraliner(day glow orange) interior. TH350 w/ manual valve body. Etc...

Have to give a teaser of his backhoe too!

And...my buddy Tower's Jeep. Stretched 11", frame mounted cage (8pt.), D44's at both ends, locked, 401ci with about 450HP.

Um so what happened??? :dunno:

My F250 was costing me $400-$450 a month for gas. I'm kinda poor-white-trash, so I can't afford that. (Kid in college too). So I traded the Ford in on the Toyota for some attempt at better mileage. In order to afford the Toy, I sold my Blazer to a friend for what I needed as a down payment (it went cheap, but I was in a point of gotta do it now). He then sold it on e-bay to someone in Conn.

That's all I know about that. It's kind of a bummer and I do miss playing with her. Someday I'll have another. This time just a shackle flip and front springs to run 33's. 12's in the summer, 9's or 10's in the winter. Keep it simple. I still have a BTO700r4 in my barn. It's a stage 3 with a stage 2 valve body.

I still lurk here to keep up on things, I just don't have a whole lot to say these days.

If interested, the Toy is an '06 TRD Sport. Limited slip rear, Old Man Emu Dakar rear leaves, ToyTec coilovers in front with Light Racing UCA's. ARB bumper with an XRC8 winch. 285/70 17 Good Year Duratracs. So far it's fun, but it's not a full size.

Between payment and mileage, I'm saving almost $300 a month. I'm averaging about 17mpgs right now.

Thats a bummer man, i was just like woooo, wait, what its done?? Wheres the ending??? lol

Yeah, I should've lowered it, put it on 35's and get the auto back in it and drive it. Someday!!

Hey man I don't know if you still check this but I own your blazer now I randomly stumbled upon this build thread while googling and I have a question for you I need to get new hubs for it but I have no idea what kind fit

:haha: him and i were just talking about this the otherday.

he should spot this and give you some info after he gets off work. :thumb:

i did call him for ya and he said he did use a dodge dana 60 with the older bolt on style locking hubs. so if you need parts for the front just look for early to mid 80's dodge 1ton front end parts. still stock 30 spline stub axles also.

Yeah I contacted mile marker and I guess they don't make the hubs for this axel anymore, they said they make a few sets every once in a while for $400 or so but I really don't want to spend that much money and the wait would be months. I need to find some alternative or that guy just didn't know what he was talking about

check for selectro brand

or also keep a eye on ebay thay show up.

and or drive flanges if your going to keep breaking them these will be the problem solver and no moving parts.

there is the gm hub/rotor conversion to do to get the comon internal style hubs but thats around 500 ish these days for a pair of hub/rotors and new hubs on top of that.

Selectro is made by mile marker but do you know which part is compatible because I think they have a few options depending on the specifics of the axel, do you know what year truck they are off of

If those are the ones your gonna go with, I believe there is a guy on pirate4x4 that has a bunch of nos selectro hubs he sells for $50+ shipping.
Might be worth looking into.
Ill try to dig up a link later
