So far, every Odyssey I have run has done exceptionally except for one. I put one in my new tractor right after I got it, because I was already seeing some corrosion from the factory wet cell. It has done fine.
But, at the same time, I bought one for my truck. Money had gotten tight a year or so ago, and when my Optima died, I had had to replace it with a wally world special.
With a money infusion, I got the two Odysseys at the same time. The one in the truck started dying within the first year.
I took it back, and they replaced it no charge, no questions asked.
I had questions though. I know these guys really well, they have a dedicated battery shop and I have been doing business with them and doing some work for them for years.
I wanted to know if this was a common problem.
They said it was not. Out of a couple hundred batteries, maybe one or two had come back with the exact same symptoms. It acted like something had come disconnected inside.
So far, the replacement it doing great.
