You guys know of any place online that has good full sets of deep wells, 1/4 drive through 1/2" in both metric and standard?

Enough of mine have been lost or broken that its time to replace some sets. Easy enough to find 9 or 10 pc. sets but no real "FULL" sets.

What brand are you looking for/How much do you want to spend?

Snap On's are expensive as hell. I HATE crapsman and refuse to buy them ever again. I will spend the money for the Snap On's myself.

Haven't really set on a brand. I have alot of mixed currently. Just a fair deal.

I hear you. The craftsman that I have now are from a couple decades ago. Haven't bought any of them in a long time.

1/2 drive usually comes in a set of 30 I think. Look em up on ebay. Plenty and not a bad price, not as thin wall as a snappie but not as thick as a cheaper set

don't look bad do they.

you can get Snappie for about 1/2 truck price on Eghey if your patient and know what your looking for...

a pro shop like yours? you should be using high quality stuff, and nothing touches Snappie..

I really like craftsman handtools, but I do not like their power tools. I like the professional series for their wrenches and ratchets. I don't have any issues with their sockets and I like that if anything ever breaks I can go get a new one at the store. Although I think I have only ever done that once or twice. The only craftsman handtool I am dissapointed in is their tiny plier set, made in china and I have busted one of them so easy it was a joke. But last I knew all their wrenchs and sockets etc were still USA made.

I vote craftsman. I'm slowly replacing my Chinese junk at home with craftsman. I hate Chinese tools for their poor quality and for the fact it makes me feel bad to put an American workers job ahead of me spending a few extra bucks. As for my work tools, being a professional mechanic, I choose Snap-On. Expensive, but paying over time makes it easy and buying the best tools made saves me time, and is a safety factor I find reassuring.

*ehem* Craftsman is now Chinese junk.... :waytogo:

Also, YOU aren't putting ANYONE out of a job..... :haha:
Those corporate a$$hats, on the top floor, put people out of jobs.

It wouldn't matter if we'd have bought 10 million American-Made wrenches.
The company still saves $$$ moving to a lower income country.
That's what they'll do.... :waytogo:

Are you saying craftsman ratchets and wrenches are made in China now? There power tools have been made there for a while but I didn't think most of their hand tools were, unless that has changed?

Wow, I guess I am lucky that I bought all my Craftsman many, many years ago. I had to go look and was relieved to see them all stamped with "USA".

Perhaps eBay has a nice used set? :)

My Craftsmen ratchet-wrenches are made in China.... :dunno:

My craftsman sockets, wrenches, ratchets and extensions are all USA made as far as I know. I never meant to imply all craftsman products are US made.

I understand its the suits that decide where **** is made, but by going to sears (and other places) and seeking out American made products, I'm doing a lot more good than seeking out a coupon and running to harbor freight and sending my money to China and the kids (and unfortunate adults) who work for HF for **** wages and no benefits.
