Besides scraping and scraping, how might I degrease the gigantic collection of road grim and grease and oil that has built up on the underside of my 82 blazer.
I thought about putting it on a lift and powerwashing it.
Any response will be greatly appreciated.

Use oven cleaner. I've used Easy Off a few times, but be careful! If you get any on any painted surface, the paint will come off quicker than a prom queen's dress at a Motel 6.

I used a bunch of simple green concentrate in a spray bottle and a pressure washer with hot water.

Lots of pressure washing. Use hot soapy water.

Thanks for the responses. now if i use the oven cleaner on the tranny is there anything I should be cautious of? I just bought this 82 blazer from a guy who had it parked for 2 years on a ranch. the tires were flat and the undercoat was come off the rear end of the undercarriage, I have taken a drill and still wire disk to take the rough spots off. could I spray a rubberized canned undercoating on it to protect it until I can afford a undercoating treatment?

i perfer purple power over simple green myself..i spray it down then use a wire brush for the hard to reach spots then my power washer with the red (0 degree) tip
