Re: manuel line lock?

here ya go these are the sh!t. they selling for about $190 over at awdirect.com the one you might want is mico part# 02-640-125.

mico.com

and the reason you would want an manuel linelock is bacause ther is no current draw when engaged and that can bcome an issue over extended periods of time. Also a mojority of electriclock are not ment to be used but for minutes at a time.

Re: manuel line lock?

Mico's line of electric locks only use power to engage them. The differential in line pressure holds them closed. Stepping on the brake pedal disengages them.

The "Line Locks" from Summit etc need power all the time to hold them closed and they are not intended for long term use.

Re: manuel line lock?

I have had a mico lock on the k5 for two years (manual)
They all leak down over time and are not meant to be a replacement for e- brakes. Flip the lever,, pump the brake hard and it holds for about 12 hours,,,,

Re: manuel line lock?

BTW, Jamar sells a product similar to the manual Mico Lock called a "Park-Lock". Look in a Hot VW's mag as they are mostly sold the sand rail crowd.
