Well the blazers been runnin way to cold since I put the motor in. I knew it was the fancy thermostat I put in, but I wanted it to run cool during break in due to the fact everyone was telling me these motors run so hot.

Left it in for the dunes because I knew id be beating on it but now it wont see much more wheelin for the year.
Changed the thermostat to a standard one with new coolant. Now she sits nice and purdy at 180* no matter what I do.
Also the timing was all outa wack after jammin on the dunes so shes runnin like a champ now. LOVE this motor, to all the haters of 400's

Good to hear it's running great, I always liked the 400 small block. That 180* stat will do you much better in the colder temps. But, now that it's running all good and cool...

The timing shouldn't change on its own so you might want to check your distributor bolt...
Glad you like the 400. But I agree with 496, where's the burnout?
This is all i got, had a little fun in the school parkin lot last friday. Shes a one wheel wonder, but I got a good 25ft i would say. Its the one on the left, not the spotty one. I just hate to destroy these tires, i really like them.
And idk about the timing heath, im sure it just got a little jarred from the bumps, its fixed now so oh well.

I think I'll be fine. Rember it's an open dif not g80 anymore.somebody put new gears in by the look of the inner pan and whatever shrapnel blew up to dent it all up lol. And the fact the ring gear says richmond
I will have to find some cheapies to burn up, but no joke I got $100 to my name, quarter tank of gas, phone bill and insurance are due tomorrow...... I really can't be breaking this thing right now, or buying tires.
You don't know anyone who will just give you a set of tires to burn off? If you were closer to me, i could probably give you a half a dozen, mounted on wheels.

Not much goin on with the blazer at the moment. Funds a bit short, lookin for a car still for the winter so I can tear the blazer apart. Buyin a 10b withd44 knuckles and crossover steering and 4.10s from Jessie. Then we are gonna try to find me a 14bsf for the rear. Then hopefully a small lift and 33s.
But this is all gonna take a while so to get me by on my wrenchin high we got the bronco 2 out and brought it to a buddies who has a lift and a couple parts rangers we can rip anything off.
