Did you guys know the selection is unlimited?

LED light bars are all the rage now, what about mounting brackets? Maybe brackets that go on the A pillar between the door and pillar so they'll work for full and half tops.

Do you have a light bar now?

Not yet. I want one but can't justify the expense at this point on an unfinished project. I've just noticed them popping up in a lot of threads/builds and it seems like they're for sale everywhere but not much is said about hardware. Just daydreaming.

Now, I do need some sort of crossmember / skid pan for a doubler...

Yeah they are! I'm thinking a little bigger so it reaches over the wheel opening some. :pimp:

Daydreaming instead of working...

Take the front piece of the frame boxing kit, trim it down to fit on the outside of the frame arc over the front axle and maybe drill some common holes so it'll be a bolt on plate. Add a tubular shock mount to it and maybe an option for an adjustable bump stop. Maybe a brace from the peak of the shock mount down to the top of the frame like the old Rancho triple shock hoops or an option for a tie bar over the motor. Package it with some steering knuckle shock tabs and voilà! - longer travel front shock mounts.

Seems like the only tricky part would be the steering shaft.

The steering column is problematic on the one side to be sure.

I'm just now messing with my cage , you know I'm not in a hurry. :D

Back from the dead....

Similar to this pic I stole from the net except with a bump stop in the middle -

U-bolt plates with a bump stop pad built on to it like some of the guys here have made.

I've thought about that. Always have some concern about the bump stops repeatedly bumping the spring plate and messing with Ubolt torque. I dunno, maybe never happen.

Any update on this request?

2" i would think would be plenty, with the b52's and high steer, the tie rod and drag link are constantly getting in fights with each other. I would imagine it would need a way of reinforcement also.
