Diesel woes

[SUPER'BURB]

So I go out to start my DD (94 cummins).
It stops it's my glow plugs are cold buzz and I crank her over.
She cranks normally seems to fire and I release the key only to have her die.
This happens 5, 6, 7 times (she will fire as long as I hold the key) and now I just need to get some advise on where to look for the problem.

Oh ya I live in central California where it has been all of 50* out.

Chrysler had problems with ignition switch. Check the connector for signs of it being hot or burning.
