Well, the thing is, the new speedo has noticeably better illumination too. The older tachometer has only one lamp. The new job has two.

I think I might be over it though. Too much other stuff going on to fuss with that right now. If I had foreseen this, I would have just bought both new in Sport Comp like the others.
I know that most of you don't know but the Phantom tach & speedo were free but I already had EGT, boost, OP, & water temp in sport comp before that. Being cheap is the root cause of the problem.
I left those circles un-powdercoated for contrast because of the silver on the sport comps.

Got my entire classic dash setup for a steal at $300 for bezel, and all gauges and harness. New never installed.
If not for being cheap, I never would have bothered. So somehting like the bezel not matching or lighting wouldnt really bother me. Especially if you got it free lol.

That pic was taken some two or three years ago. I can't watch out for it now. I think I left it there to remind me of something.

That cane rode around in my truck since I swapped it. Should polish up pretty well though.
Managed to put a couple hundred miles on the rig weekend before last as a shakedown mission. Loving the 4-speed. Rig did great.

Yeah, I read the company name, and wondered what the hell my wife bought. Then I saw my name on the package. I was good and confused at that point, till I opened the package. Then I just laughed.
