Disk brake conversion STEP BY STEP

4. Remove drum/hub assembly. (spindle nuts in center of the hub) Spindle nut socket required. Drums can be difficult to remove at times. Special note: there is a funny looking spikey washer between the nuts. It will probably have and end bent into one of the voids in the spindle nut. Pry this out of the nut with a screw driver. ( I like to count how many threads are visible on the spindle for reference later.)

Ok, I am in the middle of this swap and my Spikey Washers look like hell. Does anyone know what this part is really called or have a part number?

Thanks.

1. Pry out wheel seal. (Can sometimes be difficult.)
Man, I'm stuck right here. I can't get the Inner hub seal out. What are some of the ways ya'll get it out. Maybe I'm trying the wrong way.

May have to use a slide hammer mudgod. If you don't have one you can rent one at Autozone or the like. I think I used a big screwdrive and hammer, doesn't matter if you tear them up your not going to reuse the seal.
