First off I would like to say the thing is a beast. But...

It will not fit over a 1410 Yoke. The person I spoke to over the phone says I have to pull the yoke to install it. Which means replace the crush sleeve and recheck the backlash. All that to just install a pinion guard. :haha: What a joke!
Guess I will just have to grind the crap out of it and make it fit. :dunno: Just would have thought that they would have made it fit over it the 1410 like DIY4X's and Blue Torch's. That or at least mention it in the description.

Not trying to bash them just a little pissed off, Everything I have bought from them has always been top notch. :waytogo:

dont need to reset backlash.

and if you know the trick it dont need new crush sleave.

also it will fit over a 1410 just not past the dust cover for the seal.

only problem i had was the arb air line was super close to there cover for the dana 60 front . if thay added 1/4" more hight to the cover hight going to the non ring gear side then no problems.

There is no way it will fit over the yoke. Not running a dust cover so that's not a problem. The hole is simpley to small to fit.

just cut the top off, install it, then reweld the top back on...

Counting threads and giving it a quarter turn more isnt technically acceptable practice for a crush collar

my BTF pinion gaurd didn't fit over my 1410 yoke either. I just torched a notch into the plate so it would slip over and bolted it on and forgot about it.

its not 1/4 turn. its just past by the thickness of the 2 chissle marks 1 on the nut and 1 on the pinion.

but on a 14ff you need a press to pop the yoke off anyway or a good puller.

Make a cut at about 10 & 2. Between bolt holes. It should slide up behind. Then put top piece in and tighten up those longer bolts I am sure you already bought. :)

Yeah after looking at it more that looks like that will works. And yes already got the longer bolts.

It does sound like a design change is needed, I will look into it. I did not want the top open to take away from the strength of the full circle but a couple of notches makes sense...

either way its a shovel :haha:
Its a shovel if you try and run it with a flat pinion...Not if you rotate your pinion like you should with lift...If you leave the pinion flat with the DS shooting up in the air its a shovel but if thats the way you're set up you need to change some other things before you need one of these ;)
