DISTRIBUTOR HELP

Hello all
Finally got the trans swap done,
ran great now i cant get it to start
it turns over, i dont think im getting fire,
should the wire on the distbutor
that says battery have 12 volts?
the dist sayd battery, ground tach,
all i have is a battery and tach wire going to it,
i dont know to much about this type of thing,

All three need hooked up if you are running a tach if no tach just battery and ground. The ground probably fell off look down by the trans bell housing thats where mine was when it came off the connector broke on mine.

well i didnt find a ground wire,
where should i run 1 from to the dist?
also should there be 12 volts when the ignition is on?
i dont have 12 volts to the dist, but i know i use to?
Damn toys are expensive, well this was gonna be a toy
but some idiot hit my wifes care and didnt have insurance
so its gonna be a daily driver
