Finally getting around to mocking up my setup - 350 with 700R4 and 205 t-case, Doug Thorley headers, and DIY4X crossmember.

I'm leaning to push engine forward to fit - rather than lengthen / shorten front and rear drivelines - but may have to do that to accommodate the Thorley headers - which don't look like they will fit with engine forward.

So - I have it all mocked up - and with the cross member in - but have not drilled holes - I'm a little bit reluctant to have to cut frame to clear headers.

So for all you gurus - Does the engine have to be exactly centered between the sides of the framerails? [ ]

(right now I need to go 1/8" closer to the passenger side to be centered - is this "good enough?")

Thoughts? Opinions?

MANY vehicles the engine IS NOT centered between the frame rails/engine compartment.

When I moved my crossmember forward, I didnt even check where center was. I cant see how 1/8" would make any difference. Just make sure to check the transfer case crossmember bolts to make sure they still line up.
