DIY4X customizable rock sliders!

Front dimensions match but I have no rear cab support like what was described to me. I found this picture on DPI's website and my 76 does not have it:( The picture is of the rear mount.

It looks to me unless someone comes up with a completly differant design for the rear mount the only way to do it is to go straight to the frame

I wonder if yours is just missing that piece. The parts lists show that 73-91 all had that brace. Pretty common to see those rotted out and a PO will pull them. I only have three under mine right now, soon to be all of them.

No rust at all where this "would" be so i doubt it was ever there...this rig isn't from Utah so it has very little rust.

Anyone else have a 73-76 that can verify the existance of this bracket?

I am waiting on some pics of the tub I am buying, so I will see if he can take a look and see if there is one there.

Based on the pictures I have of the 76 tub I am grabbing, it does not appear that the rear cab support is on the older style bodies. This means these sliders won't work on the pre-77.5 without the rear foot well. I will confirm this when I get back from AZ next month, but the pictures he gave me don't show that rear support. It does appear to have that same shape reinforcement that alf's shows up above.

How about some slyders for my 77 k5? Im a little verticaly challanged, Just wondering bout something 25% down angle to serve as a little protection and as a step for the family and I.

Love to! Unfortunately i dont have the rig to set them up on. Not too many of the early 2nd gens around here anymore. We're always watching for them.

Just noticed this. SHECKSY!

They're getting Rhino Lined right now. Will put up some pics when I get them back and actually mount them.

Hey guys, Kert was awesome to deal with, much cheaper than the competition, and didn't blink about my custom request. Don't hesitate to do business with him.:D

Could I possibly get the brackets and hardware only?

Just a thought but anyway you could modify a set so that it would mount to the frame. Then it would work on the 73-77 flavor.

We've done some testing with a approx. 2' lever on the frame and it wasn't pretty. Granted this was done in an area that didn't have body mounts right next to it so sort of exaggerates the situation.

Frame twist vs. Body twist would be something else we'd have to investigate.

Howdiy, Call me at the shop and we can set it up.

You know Kert, another possibility for the older 2nd gens might be to move the rear bracket back a little further and extend it to mount directly to the rear seat ledge. I know that ledge is moved much further forward on this generation, and with a strengthening plate might just be enough to easily mount them up using the front brace and that ledge. Just an idea.

Any word on sliders for suburbans? It looks like my suburban will become our only vehicle to fit 3 car seats, which we will need in 7-8 months. My wife currently has problems getting in with-out a newborn, it will be real tough for her with one.

Also any pics of these on any rigs? Especially looking for the 25 degree down for a step.

I don't believe anybody has purchased a 25 degree down. Closest to that would be 10 degree down.

Check out the thread in the vendor's section titled, "Post your custom parts" There's some pics in there.

Will be a while before we get into sliders for burbs though.
