I'm pretty sure I'm gonna go with the DIY4x4's flip over ORDs. I was pretty dead set on ORD's but I like the fact that DIY's lets you use normal shackles. Plus the shackles that ORD makes are very expensive.

Anyone have anything to say against DIY4x4? Does their flip install just as easy as ORD's?

What do you mean by "normal shackles"?

ORD's re-uses the factory shackles. DIY4x's requires new shackles.

Otherwise they are both good products and you can't go wrong with either one. :waytogo:

i can't hear from personal experience but i have only heard nothing but good things about both companies, though IMO i would go with the diy4x for the new shackles as well since it will be stronger and not be a weak pointin the design.

I did DIY's. The install is the same as ORD, only bad part is grinding off the rivets. If you go with DIY, make sure you replace your spring bushings to match the width of the shackle bushings. I reused my spring bushings which are narrower than the shackle bushings which came with the kit. I didn't know it mattered until about a month later when I could turn the nuts on my spring mounting bolts by hand. With the DIY kit on my K-5, I need to move the bracket forward about an inch to get the "ideal" shackle angle, don't know about ORD.

Well I'm not super anal about having the perfect shackle angle as long as its ballpark. I'm looking at doing their 52 front spring swap too, the **** just looks so beefy.

When I said normal shackles I dont know the exact name but like a shackle thats straight plate on both sides IE top and bottom bushings are the same width.

not this |.| Like the stockers. Guess I'm going with DIY.

I first bought the ORD's cause Kert had not came out with them yet. Now I will run the ORD's I have on my burb and the DIY's on my K5. I dig them both.
