Check to make sure it's sealed everywhere, but you may need to extend it a few inches. I have mine exit in the same location as yours, but it extends all the way out from under the body. I don't get any exhaust smell except when I don't seal it correctly.

I run a soft top, so the seals are never great. I also have it run similar to yours, and the greatest offender for smell was the tailgate to body seal. Getting that sealed up helped a lot with exhaust and dust.

I still get some exhaust in the cab. Not sure if it's the seals in the back window and tailgate or should the exhaust point to the back or down to the ground??

Yep, straight out the back is the worst. Ended up with mine pointed ~45 degrees out the side along with a turndown right at the tip. Has worked great.

Ok, summer is almost over and it's been a terrible one. Up to 125 in June and over 100 with humidity since July.

I might have the opportunity to get my rear tow hitch slash tire carrier done. Is there anyone that has used the factory bumper and frenched a tire carrier on there??
An good threads with tire carriers??

Are you looking for a tire carrier that uses the hitch receiver?

I'm thinking a swing out tire carrier like a Jeep would have. Receiver hitch worked in, not sure if he'll do a hide a hitch behind the plate if there's room. Then tube coming out of the top of the factory bumper tied to the frame running up the rear of the passenger side drilling a hole in the body and tying it into the cage inside for support, maybe both sides basket swings to the driver spare to the passenger. Strong enough to hold up to a 40 inch tire and some sort of a basket slash surface I can put stuff on.

The truck would be opening the tail gate with anything sticking up past the top of the stock bumper. If you add a pivot hinge outside the tailgate, it kinda blocks the tail light. That said, I think Mike @NorCal69 has some ideas like that in his build thread you might want to look at, although it looks like Photobucket virus has dumped on lots of the thread.

I ditched my plastic tank after my exhaust burned a hole in it. :(

KOH prep begins...

Plug in cigarette lighter, check.

I think my exhaust guy can make enough room for my tow receiver.

Need to install that and the gas tank..

Maybe get around to a oil change and the trans and transfer case mounts I have...

I could wire up the seat heaters....

That was fun. Ol drill almost claimed a few fingers but she gave me a break.
Take it to the exhaust guy tomorrow. Was a bitch getting it in between the exhaust.
