I find that very few people anymore understand how a 203 works. I would venture a guess that at some point someone added locking hubs and it’s been driving in hi loc ever sinceWhat’s up with the tcase shifter? Isn’t it too far back? It’s got a 203 so to me it looks like the shifter is all the way back in the “lock” position, is high range towards the seat or dash?
If the shifter is in “hi lock” then it makes me wonder if it’s still full time with locking hubs, I wouldn’t consider this to be an acceptable compromise on a high end priced truck.
would someone notice as when making turns the tires would be squealing on pavement.I find that very few people anymore understand how a 203 works. I would venture a guess that at some point someone added locking hubs and it’s been driving in hi loc ever since
Not if the hubs are unlocked they wouldn't. That's the issue with 203s, people thought they got better mpg by installing lockout hubs, but then the truck wouldn't move unless it was in 4 LOC. There were conversion kits that locked the diff in the case but those are discontinued now. Somewhere along the line the misinformation started that you could just add hubs or pull the front shaft and drive in 4LOC.would someone notice as when making turns the tires would be squealing on pavement.
Also the hydraulic converter is missing the cover so the flywheel teeths are exposed.
