I have searched and can not find if there is a difference between the inner shafts on a dodge 44 or a chevy 44. I know the 60's are different. I am not planning on running a dodge 44 but have one I am parting out.

thanks, according to what is on the sight and the other I have found they look universal as far as shafts are concerned.

Yep because they are all Dana's not ford, dodge ect..... Man I can't believe I just posted on a chevy site:eek1:
have a good day

Dodge D44's are NOT the same as Chevys..... I've learned this 1st hand.

On some Dodges, the long side will interchange even though it's really off by ~-1/4" or so. But the short sides will not interchange...! It can be difficult to find replacement axles and ChroMo versions are only available as a "custom" axle from Currie or Moser.

One other thing.... A Dodge D44 is not a Dodge D44...! I've had 2 Dodge disc brake D44's that had inner axle lengths that were not interchangeable!! :angry1: on either side...
