does anybody have pics of the big dummy chevy?

Well, I gave it a quick look thru a few stacks but didn't find the mag I'm thinking of. I'm sure I've got it but it's probably buried in a big tote full of 4wd mags dating back to the mid 80's. :doah:
I found mine. Its the July '88 issue. Thats the year and month I turned 18.

Pics of the mag and pages to follow....

Old Chevy from a movie

Hey Frank,

Quick question for ya.

Do you know what ever happened to that old white K5 Blazer from the Movie Armed and Dangerous?

Best regards,

Paul

is he standing in that? is that why the subframe is so low?
If I remember right, Frank S. is a motocross freak and he built one of his monsters to incorporate motorcycle handlebars and is therefore able to steer it that way and also uses the brake handle on the bars, too.

I also read somewhere that his reasoning for standing up inside the truck has something to do with lessening the forces and impact on his spine/back by using his legs as shock absorbers rather than sitting in a seat and letting his spine compress on jumps, etc.

Makes pretty good sense to me. But thats a lot of strain on the leg muscles IMO. I'd be getting tired pretty quick.

Join for $25 and you can see all the pics you want and then some. Well worth it.

One of the BIG TALL IFS lift companies...Full Traction or somebody...a number of years ago came out with a block that also was a mount for a traction bar.

Sorta like admitting you're doing something stupid but don't worry, you have a bandaid for it!
