a winch mounted between the frame rails? meaning no replacement bumper?

I'd like to see how it's done and get some ideas in case i get a winch

Here's mine. Warn M12000.

I had to remove about 1/2" from the inside of the framerails on each side to squeez it in there. Works awesome.

I don't have pictures of mine but I just removed the grille and cut the center support from in front of the radiator and when you do that there is about 10 inches there and you can just bolt a piece of plate steel there and bolt the winch to that. If I can figure out how to post pics I'll post them later. You can see how much room there is on kidjethros rig. If you mount it above the rails it is a lot easier to get at everything on it.

Mines a Warn M12000. You'd have to be creative and fab something to work to make a M12000 fit in there on a mostly stock rig. Miine was fairly simple, would be a bit more involved on a full bodied rig.

Could you put on pics of your floorpan and firewall? I would like to see how much stock stuff you left in.

I assume you want picks of my truck...The inside floor pan and firewall I assume also?

I looked through all the pictures I have, those are all I have that show the inside.
