Does anyone know where to get 3.54's for a 14FF?

I'm going to be doing a GM crew cab with a Cummins. I'd really like to run 3.54 gears like many Dodges come with. The front is not a problem since Chevy and Dodge use Dana 60's in front. As for the rear, I've only seen 3.42 3.73 and 4.10 for 14 bolts, Dodge uses Dana 70's in the rear. Anyone have any solutions? I was thinking of using a disc brake dana 80 from a newer Dodge also... Thanks

GM does have 3.54 gears for a 14ff but it's like finding a needle in a hay stack. I think they were used in motorhomes or something like that.

Not much difference between the 3.54, and the 3.42, why not go with that ratio, or even with the 3.73 which is more common.
For the 14b ff, there even was a 3.30 ratio offered that is more common than a 3.54, not sure if that is available for the D60 though.

i would go 3.73 my self dime a dozon and good balence between both ends of the range. tons of the dodges had 3.73 gears in them .

but i see why you want lower gears. if you have a non overdrive tranny.

Dodge didn't put 3.73's in a Cummins truck from the factory until 2003. I'm going to be using a 12 valve motor with an NV4500, their fuel economy is very sensitive to cruising RPM, and I'd like to run 33" tires instead of 35's. I've had 11 Cummins Dodge trucks and all but 2 have had 3.54s. I couldn't stand the 4.10s, even with 35" tires. If I can't find 3.54's for a 14FF I'll probably run a Dana 80 from a 94-02 Dodge w/ 3.54's.

Swap in a D80 out of a CTD. They souldn't be to hard to find and will have the correct gear ratio you want. They offer a better limited slip diff then the GM 14b govlock and are slightly stronger then GM14bff's.
