Does Interco really not make a 40" TSL for 16" rims???

Are they street legal? DIY only or does anyone sell them? Thanks.

Yes, 100% street legal.

I am pretty sure they are on special until Xmas...$140 a piece any backspace you want between 2" and 3.75", in black, white, red or silver (silver shown). IIRC they are 8.5" wide.

Check the vendor forum, the vendor is "usa6x6"

do what i did and run the 3/4 ton brakes and rotors ....

I prefer the stopping power of the one ton brakes...especially running 40's.

does he make them for 15" rims as well, that are 100% street legal?

Not sure about any of the others, but the H1 beadloacks are 'legal'. I have yet to see any concrete evidence that any beadlocks are not legal, but the H1 beadlocks have the DOT numbers on em...which removes all doubt.

Hummer wheels are 16.5", to go to a 15" double lock it'd have to be a full custom piece...available, but much more money.

i dont really see what makes beadlocks "illegal" seems to me its safer....nut then again im sure ppl would run 5psi on the highway and would end up dead or somethiing...thats the only reason i could think of

mikey you run 15s right?

Yeah, I run 15's, gonna have Kert at DIY weld a lock ring onto them this spring.

When people say "illegal" the only thing that makes that theory popular is that they're not DOT approved. BUT...with current "simulated locks" and all that stuff, most cops would have a hard time figuring out if they were real or not.

Just to add to the confusion, DOT stamps are sometimes on the outer band of the rim shell, meaning you couldn't find them unless you dismount the tire. To farther mess with your head, you can actually buy rims without centers in them that already have DOT stamps on them. Obviously welding and fabricating is required to make them roadworthy but they're already approved. Clear as mud yet?

Wow Im surprised you can get them for 17" rims, but not 16. Seems strange, but oh well. I hadn't even thought about 17's, guess I should investigate that option. Thanks for the replies guys. :)

just an idea for ya.. but stock dodge rims.. that are running around plentifull are a decent fit and are 17's.... they are a little more back space than most would prefer, but they work well and if you are looking to do weld on beadlocks then they work even better.

either run 16.5" 1s recentered or run 17" h2's. the h2's will be cheaper, but you can get a beadlock for the 16.5's

hmm thats why i was hesitating to do some kind of beadlocks. ill check yours out in the spring when you get your mikey, and if me likey, me getty :D yes im using you as my ginny-pig ;)

maybe I missed it, but why aren't you considering the 39.5" irok? I finally decided on 16" rims with 42's. 16's seemed right for me... plenty of clearance even if rim is slightly bent, better beadlock than the 16.5 and more common than 17's. I would have considered 42 tsl's or boggers if they made them but i am very happy with my irok's. Just today i had the front end bouncing while trying to climb a crazy steep whiterock ledge. I really think the light weight of the iroks helps when it comes to not breaking stock 30-spline outers- I'd be much more worried if running heavy ass tsl's or boggers.

Oh yes, Ive certainly considered the irok. Ive been reading impressive things about them for several months now, seem to be a good all-around tire. I dont know why Im not looking at them more seriously, but I dunno, alot of people around here have iroks. I should consider them again I know, but Im liking the H2 beadlock idea alot right now, gonna check into that some more. Thanks alot for all the suggestions guys, really appreciate it. :D

Would an 8.5 wide rim be wide enough for the tire sizes Im looking at guys? I was thinking 10" or probably even a 12" rin for these tire sizes. Is 8.5 the only width available for the H1 double beadlocks? Im really thinking this is the route I want to go, but now Im worried it would mean sacrificing tire width or diameter (or both). Thoughts?

shouldn't be toooo much of a surprise... 17s are a rapidly growing segment of the truck wheel market. Lots of factory trucks come with 17s to fit over larger brakes etc.
