Does the m1009 (mil bazer) have a gov-bom in the rear?

GM's factory govorner atuated locking differential. They have a bad habit of breaking unexpectidly and blowing up the entire carrier. Hence the name gov-bom. The factory name was gov-loc.

Yeah, but primarily in the 10 bolt axles, sheesh, ya label one a "Gov-Bom" and the rest get it as well

just curious as i will be picking mine up in 2 weeks.

Do believe that all the M1009's had them, yes. Look for the RPO sticker in the glove box and/or a tag on the rear diff.

Yep front will be open. Check the glove box if you are getting a complete vehicle. If it has a G80 code then it has the gov-loc in the rear.
