I see that all the trucks on ‘Truck Night in America’ have a name. Never really understood it or how you come up with one. Haven’t named any of my trucks. Post up if you’ve named yours, how you came up with it along with a pic.
@Raggedy_Ann, do they require you to have a name for your truck to be on the show?

This is Myrtle. I've never named any of my own trucks, it's always been named by someone else. Myrtle was named by a guy who was out wheeling with us in near Grande Cache last August. He said a truck as pretty as this one needed an ugly name haha! It stuck, and my wife lovingly calls it Myrtle the Turtle.

Every time anybody sees my truck they always say "That thing is a beast"...so I guess that is it's name...Beast.

Well the 84 was named the "Drooley" buy my friend that helped me do the engine swap. It was more of a slip he meant to say dually but every time I drive it there's some drooling goin on by onlookers so it kinda fits.
My k5 doesn't have a name yet I guess it's got a long way to go before it earns a name

the only that technically has a name is my 91 K5, it is blue so I call it Babe, the big blue ox, the 88 we just call the black blazer and the 84 we call the stepside. I have 4 Dodge diesels, the first 3 I got were white, so we call them the 4x4, the dually, and the 5 speed. the last one is gray so we call it the gray truck. I have 4 tube buggies, red buggy, yellow buggy, X chassis and the conglomeration. 3 jeeps, TJ, LJ, and JK. then the Focus, Tacoma, red truck and F600.

My dad had a 92 F350 CC 7.3 powered and a Banks kit

We named it Shamu. It was huge

Frankentruck. Mom named it. Not more than a single piece of sheetmetal is from the same rig. The internals arent any different, except the three seats all came from the same donor.

I’ve never named a truck because it just seems weird to refer to it like a person. I have had the same vanity plate since ‘88 -nvrenuf - because my wife once told me that no matter what I did to the truck it was “never enough”, I thought it was funny.

That said, I always thought it was goofy when people post asking for a good name for a project. IMO, the people around you will eventually name it based on what it is or does.
