Does your truck have a name?

Mine is named Lorry. My dad's friend 20 years ago was visiting from England and he saw it in the driveway when I had just purchased it as a 15 year old. He kept saying, "That's a big lorry" over and over. We didn't get it until he explained its what they call trucks over there, so it stuck.

Just refer to mine as the blazer
My grown daughter refers to it,gas guzzling planet killer,,,she is way left, but it pulled her sorry ass Prius out of a ditch during a ice storm last winter, she still hates it,so I keep bringing it up at times
That's funny!!

I have not had the chance to explain to people who disapprove of my old trucks of how they don't have as many parts that aren't recycled already, or able to be recycled. My batteries get recycled no problem!

I always called it Bender. It’s grey, loud and pollutes.
My wife, with her limited English at first, called it Big Truck. My ‘68 was called Old Truck. She didn’t know the manufacturer names, so that’s what we call them even today.

I don’t consider them family. I mean, I sold the ‘68 after all.

I’d rather be juvenile, than a mindless car driver or lease holder. Nobody has any attachment to cars anymore. I get more enjoyment out of driving my door-less, loud blazer...or when I had the ‘68... than driving my ‘17 convertible mustang.

There’s no name for the mustang and no attachment.

I was never a name guy for decades... it was always yr and model.... but I'm glad I decided to name the CC Mutt.. it's kinda fun... like referring to a good bud or sumfin... I also think it does make it easier for others to remember the rig... look at Papa Smurf...
