Don't go off-roading or on back trails with a wooden canopy/camper shell

Saturday turned out to be the Mountain Explorer's "Attack of the Daily Drivers" mini-group trail day.

I figured I'd leave the canopy (or camper shell as others call them) on the truck since I wasn't planning on doing anything hardcore. But as I was going up a powerline road and the thing started coming apart at the seams, I realized that was a bad decision.

It kept everyone behind me entertained watching it sway side to side. I kept watching the front wall and side wall moving around... and not at the same time either. I ended up taking it off afterwards, figuring the wind would now explode it if I went down the freeway with it very fast.
