On our '98 C2500 the black backing/trim around the keyhole/door handle on the driver's side has cracked. It flexes up quite a bit when lifting the handle to open the door.

Anybody know how this piece comes off or has a manual that shows how to R & R this piece?

Thanks!

Thanks! I don't think there are any screws so the panel just pops of, right?

There are a couple of screws. One in the door pull. There are also alot of plastic clips holding the door panel on. Just be gentle when pulling it off. Don't gorilla it.

Happened to me too. A little tedious to get at, but took about an hour.
Oh, BTW, within 1 week of that breaking, the inner door handle broke. Must have been on the same stress test model. Within the next month, the key stopped working, sad had to tear into for a 3rd time to replace the key cylinder.
You may want to think about replacing all three of these parts at once.
