Does anybody make replacement door hing nuts---the ones that are captured inside the a pilar? If not, what is everybody doing if they need replacements? Thanks ahead of time for your help!

I don't think anybody makes them. How many are stripped? Those are just regular nuts tacked to a plate held in by some sort of loose fitting holders(so they move around for adjustment). If yours are so bad that you were going to surgically replace them (as in cut into the A-Pillar) then just weld new nuts onto the old plates, Otherwise tap it to the next size and be done with it. Somebody may have a better idea that's just what I would do.

P.S. Your a new 1st Genner to me so lets see some pics of said truck

In case you haven't already solved this, here is what is behind those a-pillars

Basically it's an L-shaped plate that's been drilled and tapped with the threads for the hinge bolts. You could cut access panel from the inside to remove it. Then weld it up and re-tap the holes, or just build a fresh plate to install inside that plate cage.

Definitely a lot of effort required to fix a stripped thread. Simplest might be a helicoil repair since you can do that from the outside.
