My one-owner, 190,000-mile '89 K5 Scottsdale has had a stubborn left-side door lock issue for quite some time. The lock cylinder doesn't turn from the outside, and the inside lock button doesn't move. Sometimes it will if I tug on it up and down very fast, but this is extremely tiresome, so mostly I just get in and out of the truck from the passenger's side, also very tiresome. I just purchased another Scottsdale K5 (an extremely clean 1990 model) to use as I slowly restore my very rusty other one, and I notice this one has the same problem, only on the right side. Is this a distinct 1989-91 Blazer phenomenon, or has anybody else experienced this? I suppose changing the lock cylinders is the only way to fix it. Thanks.
, but in my '91 both are manual
. One less thing to break (in theory)
