Are you sure all the screws have been removed?
THere's a line of screws on the bottom and 2 screws in the armrest, then the only thing holding it is the plastic ribbed pop-in pieces, so you just pull and it pops out. You usally have to pull on the bottom edge, get it all loose, then lift it straight up off the window edge, the inner window weather strip is attached to the door panel.

There is also one screw that ISN'T along the bottom nor the armrest. I believe it's towards the rear of the panel, behind the armrest.

Been a while, but I think my '89 had one behind the inner door handle? Or maybe that's one of my other rides...either way sometimes even with all the screws out, it requires a surprising amount of upwards force to breakem' loose.

thanks i got em off....now how do i pull the side mirrors???is it that single allen bolt??
Allan bolt holds the cover on, you slide that up the mirror arm, then unbolt. 10MM socket I believe.
