I am a customer of USA6x6 for the wheel centers which I think are good quality. I also received them quickly after being ordered. I installed them on a rotating jig that I put together which uses a plasma cutter , dial indicators, and MIG weld gun holder. No problems whatsoever and the centers came out within 10/ 1000s for levelness on the dial indicator.

Today I looked at Ray's wheels from USA6x6 and I would not have accepted them either. The centers are installed crooked. The final WMS lathe work done to true the centers is a great quality check but should not be used to correct such grossly misaligned centers. The weld quality is very good but it appears a simple step was not taken during the install. That would be to tack the center in multiple spots prior to the long welds. In each case (even on the stamped centers which lay on the hummer wheel lip) one side is snug against the lip and the other side is raised. Since gravity will normally hold the center in place, I can only assume the weld started at the low side and immediately began to raise the opposite side as the weld cooled. By the time the welder got to that side it was too late. Shorter welds would have solved the whole issue. I am sure this will be an easy fix for you Daniel if you discuss with your welders. Just my $.02 for what it's worth.

UPDATE 12/31/05

Meet daniel today
Showed him the wheels.
He is replacing the other 2 & 1 from my first set.
He said I will have them on tues

I will update then.

I agreed with Ray when I met up with him and saw the wheels, the machining was too deep. we dont do plate centers and this was the original cause of the problem which has now been rectified with the machinist.
Ray has all of them now and I understand he is pleased.

well i guess it's time to let everyone know about my experience with usa 6x6.

i ordered my civilian double beadlocks 16" rims on october 25th and got them on dec30th. now i called and placed the order and didn't rock order rock rings just the rims. then on november 8th i decided to go ahead and get the rock rings and he repleyed that it would take 2-3 weeks for him to get the rock rings and to get everything done, so i agreed with him and said that that would be fine.

well as about three weeks go by so on the 29th of nov. i asked him if they were ready to ship? He tells me that the rock rings are ordered and will be there in 2 weeks. well that's 5 weeks total so far just for the rock rings to come in. well on the 13th of dec. I wrote him and asked what's going on and he tell's me again that it will be another week before they show up and he will get the rings installed and shipped so now i have all ready missed three runs that i have had set up and still waiting on the rims to show up. So on tuesday the 27th of dec i call him up and he say's that the paint is drying on them over the weekend and he will ship them out that day. so i missed the new years run with my truck but still went then i get home on sunday to look at the rims open the box and they were painted wrong i asked for black rims and silver rock rings and i got a whole black rim and rock rings so i figure i have waited so long just to get these rims in that i would paint them my self when i had time.

well one of my buddy's is broke and on top of a mountain so on monday i start to put the rims togather so i can go up and help out, and they had sent me the wrong size o-rings for the rims so i had to wait untill tuesday to call up daniel and told him about the o-rings and asked if he could over night the right one's to me. he agreed and the next day i got the o-rings.

so after i get all the tires and rims and everything togather i head up to help my buddy out and get about an hour away from home and one of the pvc insert's broke inside the rim. now as far as that goe's i don't blame anyone right now untill i rip it apart and find out if i installed it wrong or if it is a defect. the other three have held up fine.

so in all i have played a very long waiting game to get the product. as far as just getting the rims he said that they were already done and it only took him two weeks to do which i do believe happend it was the rock ring that took 8 weeks to get done.

the quality of the welds and rims are very good exept for the paint that was wrong color. and i will get back about the pvc when i brake it apart in a couple of weeks.

here's the update i found that the cause of the pvc could be a number of things but i beleive that i might have over tighten the bolts causing it to be faulty so danial at usa 6x6 replaced the pvc at no cost and shipped it to me so everything was worked out and no complants. thanks, and the product is of good quality.

4100 views, thanks guys, I need you customers to post your reviews please. :D ...:D :D

Update on rim order

I received my set of five rims on March 6th. This was about 3 months after the order was placed (Dec. 1st 2005). I had contacted Daniel several times over the three month period to check on my order. I was told that there was an error in getting the design for the rock ring to the machinist. Then there was another delay in the machinist receiving the design and cutting the ring. I did order special rock rings that are 3" thick instead of the standard 1 1\2". Daniel told me that the rims had been ready and he was just waiting for the rock rings. He did ship me the rims free of charge for the delay. They arrived at my house nicely boxed and with the extra o-ring that I asked for. The paint on the rims is not so great but the welds and machine work is very nice. I have yet to mount these rims and will post as soon as I do.

well, i just placed my order 5 minutes ago. 4 pressed centers. :D

we will see how that goes.

So how are the wider H1 rims coming?
I'm looking for a set of 5 with stock Hummer offset (running dually axles), rock rings and 2" wider . . .
No shipping cause I got family in Lawton so I'll get em when we swing through.

After waiting 2 weeks till I had a break from school, I finally had a chance to mount my new 42" TSL on the USA6x6 rims:laugh: . It took a LOT longer than I had expected to mount the first tire. When I did get it mounted it had a bad leak in it:mad: . After trying unsuccessfully to stop the leak it decided to try my luck with another tire and rim. I torqued the 20 bolts down to 25 foot pounds at a nice even rate and to my amazement there were no leaks. I mounted the other three tires in about 2 1/2 hours with no problems. The first rim I did I think that I over torqued the bolts or did not tighten them down in an even manner. I still need to talk to Daniel about this rim and see if there is anything I can to. The other are mounted on my truck and have been for about two Weeks with no leaks. I think they look great and hope to test them out very soon. I should also mention that when is was putting one of the rims together I noticed that there was a hole for the valve stem. This was the only rim with a valve stem hole, and I noticed it after I had already mounted the other valve stem. It was a simple fix to put two valve stems in the rim but not what i WANTED to do. I will re post when I have a chance to test the tires and rims.

Just a quick update to say that they still haven't come in yet. This is over two months and counting. I have been calling him about once a week and each time he has told me that they would be ready the coming week. This week he told me that they would be ready to ship next week again. When I complaned that I would mess a big wheeling weekend, he told me he would call be back. Two hours later he called back and said that they would go out this Friday. Today he called me and told me he still needed to add the powder coating and they would not be coming this week.
Please don't ask me why I haven't called my credit card yet to stop payment and get my money back. When I first order the wheels he said they would be done in 4 weeks. He had the already rims in stock and would need time for the centers, the rock rings and the powder coating.
This guy wanted a feedback system I'm just keeping up my part of the deal.

8 weeks now keeping the customer waiting.. unacceptable.
that is true I looked up your order..
We have your entire wheels cut on our new laser cutter ($400,000 worth of machine) YES your wheels are 2 weeks late and I tried to getthem to you this weekend. I would have made this weekend without the powdercoat. It did take a little longer for your custom rockrings and the custom centers. Common centers would not have taken so long. Please give a complete report on the wheel assembly, weld quality and your opinion on the new inserts when they arrive next week. I know why the powdercoat and rockrings were cheaper now after talking with you this week. you got the CK5 discount. Thanks for your post and I will talk to you soon. -Daniel

At the time of this post it has been 9 weeks. By time I get them it will be 10 weeks. On my first post you can see when I ordered them.
Also I like your web site on delivery times. It just plane out saids we suck. I went there because it use to say most wheels in 4 weeks.

Mudgod--IMHO call your CC company and cancel the order, you will be glad you did.
