Can a doubler be daily driven, aand/or driiven on long trips?

Reason being I have a TH350/203 setup...
I eaither need to find a new th350/205 or a 205 for a th350...
Or build a doubler...

Trailering my K5 to the trail is not an option, nor a planned future option...
So what's the daily drivability of a doubler?

It should be fine as long as both are in 2 HI. It shouldn't be any different than running either a tranny/205 or tranny/203 combo in 2 HI other than a little bit more drag on the overall driveline. I've got a 700r4/203/205 doubler setup in my 76 and no problems with the TC's.

Keep in mind though that a doubler setup isn't an easy swap. For my 76, I had to use two crossmembers, one of which had to be fabbed to go over the top of the front driveline. Both drivelines will have to be changed in terms of length, and your center hump inside the rig may need some fabbing, mine did, to accomodate the sticks. Truth be told, if I were to do it again, I'd go STAK or an Atlas.

i'm thinking black box from NWF. :) shouldn't require any floor changes...

I DD my k5 and i just ordered my doubler stuff, not expecting any issues. I dont think a doubler would have any more drag than a 203, if it does I think it would be marginal at best when you look at what its going into.
