The Atlas4 is definetly the way to go. Short, light, bomb proof, and all the gear you need.
Here we go again!.....
After a tremendous amount of research, I went with an Atlas-4? (Basically equivalent to the STaK option)
Uses the same planetary gearset as the Blackbox (2.72:1) and mates it to a 2:1 Atlas case.
Effective ratios are 1:1, 2:1, 2.72:1 and 5.44:1
if that's not deep enough they also offer a different combo with 10.34:1 final reduction.

)Guys who are running Lo-Max and WMS gearsets, how much did they cost? How much did your doubler cost?
...here's a breakdown more or less of my whole doubler set up

I think the black box and klune v are underrated as options. The BB is $1600, your choice of input and output splines, and comes with a cable shifter.

The biggest factor is where/how you wheel. Here in the midwest/east coast area a lot of places you can actually hurt the trail performance by having too much gearing because you need some wheel speed. One guy in our club just spent a ton of $$ building a Jeep with a NV4500, 10:1 Atlas 4-speed, and 5.13 axles on 37's and now is finding out that he rarely ever needs anything but the 2.72 range in the Atlas.

roughly 99:1 before the tq converter. What about a lomax and a black box?? Was talkin to the wife about it and she said I might as well get what I want to start with. Will the NWF cable shifters work on the lomax.
What will my overall ratio be with that combo and a 400TH,and 4:88's??
look i havnt had the yellow truck off road yet but i will tell you with the 465/203 39s and 373s you would be suprised how low it is
