Doubler,Black box,Stack or Lomax???

What about a lomax and a black box?? Was talkin to the wife about it and she said I might as well get what I want to start with. Will the NWF cable shifters work on the lomax.

What will my overall ratio be with that combo and a 400TH,and 4:88's??

NWF's cable shifters will work with a Lomax, its just like any other 205 (you have to reuse many parts from a used 205).

You will have 12.1:1, 32.9:1, or 98.8:1. That's not accounting for the generally accepted 2:1 reduction for an auto trans, so each number would be twice as big. IMO, that's much lower than you would need.

what happened to the good ole days of wheelin' 35s on a th350, 3.07s, and an np205 :haha:
Ummm, I am still stuck in those days. Except the 35's, I run 33's, th350, and an NP205.

I plan to do the Lomax setup, but for what I do a doubler or Atlas or any of the other options just aren't needed.

Now the NWF cable shifter would be nice, could move my shifter to the driver's side and get it out of the way of the new center console.

In my opinion it would be a waste of money to also get the Lomax if you had the black box. It would sound good on paper but from my experience that much gearing is not needed nor practical in the real world, especially with an auto trans.

Just the TH400/normal 205/Black Box/4.88 combination gives you over 64:1 without factoring in the converter and that is WAY low with an auto.
