If youre modifying driveshafts anyway, you could shift the whole assembly forward or back so the top of the doubler adaptor nests right under the lump behind the trans cover. Very little floor mods that way.
I dont think the doubler is whats killing anyones mileage around here.

How do you shift the whole assembly? Are you talking motor, tranny, the works?

There is going to be some fabwork involved since it has the 205 clocked to increase ground clearance. I will probably have to alter my floor pan and maybe a part of the cage, along with a new hold for triple stick shifters since they probably wont be in the same place as my twin sticks for my current 205.
Drive shafts altered, new exhaust, .............
