Well time to round up all the things I need to install my new aquisitions into the Cherry Bomb. Harder trails here we come. :woot:

ORD will probably stop answering the phone pretty soon when they see my #. Good thing I have several phones I can use.

Thanks for the deal Crawdaddy

very nice, let me know if you need any help.

I will need help and I will let you know. Not sure when I am gonna start this. I need to order a few parts. I want to try and make sure I have everything I need before I start to hopefully speed up the process a little.

There is going to be some fabwork involved since it has the 205 clocked to increase ground clearance. I will probably have to alter my floor pan and maybe a part of the cage, along with a new hold for triple stick shifters since they probably wont be in the same place as my twin sticks for my current 205.

Drive shafts altered, new exhaust, .............

If youre modifying driveshafts anyway, you could shift the whole assembly forward or back so the top of the doubler adaptor nests right under the lump behind the trans cover. Very little floor mods that way.

I dont think the doubler is whats killing anyones mileage around here. :)

Actually, who am I kidding?? My blazer gets incredible mileage right now

Because I haven't had it running in a year:doah:

You are going to have to elaborate on the below statement. No comprende. How do you shift the whole assembly? Are you talking motor, tranny, the works?

I installed a doubler in my 71. So nice to have the 4:1. oh yea, and it still gets ****ty mileage :haha:

Mine wasn't clocked flat and I still had to cut the floor plan in 2 places. The doubler plate wouldn't clear the tranny hump (at the back) and the triple stick required more out of the floor plan at the passenger side. Takes some time to install everything, but the upgrade is great.

My rear driveshaft was short enough that I put in a CV. Even 6" shorter than the previous, but still cured my driveline vibe.
