Drag link/pitman arm options for 6" lift

There are several threads on this. It solves some problems, but has issues of it's own. In some cases the steering is more twitchy on-center. You also can't run a sway bar and unless you have at least 4" of lift and the "low clearance" pitman arm, it requires an aftermarket engine crossmember. But you can steer lock-to-lock while articulated. With a sway bar and normal springs, the push-pull setup can provide decent steering.

Ah, I had to install an aftermarket crossmember for my LS swap so that was never an issue for me.
On the subject of lift I noticed in the first post that he has 6” which is what I have except I removed a leaf all the way around for a softer ride which makes mine about 5”.
I believe the pitman arm comes with the ORD kit.
And lastly I have no sway bars at all and my steering and handling on the road could not be better.
I pass cars on the curvy hills to and from work everyday.

Since I don't drive my K5 that much, I probably wouldn't do much more than consider a dropped pitman arm. I have lots of work coming up so won't be home much, but eventually want to check a few adjustments on the steering box to ensure it is centered.

I considered an ls swap in the past and wish it was easy to make my C20 ride good, but I hope to buy a new duramax truck within the next year, so these will only get driven occasionally. The K5 is perfect for hauling my stuff to the shooting range that is nearby.
