Couple aluminum drain pans fabbed up today. I needed a pan big enough to change oil in my Freightliner and it's always nice to have a shallow large capacity pan around for engine coolant and stuff.

Those are entirely badass and I fully see the purpose. Even changing the oil in Light Duty diesels can be a pain with normal oil drain pans.

Add another to the list of things I never thought I would say:

Sweet drain pan!

Thanks for the compliments. The 24 x 8 weighs about 14# and the 24 x 6 about 12.

It would be far too cost prohibitive to make these things to sell. I don't think anyone would be interested in paying that much for a simple drain pan.

There's at least two hours labor in each one plus the material.

I am in love with the darin pans! they are the best use of dimond plate I have ever seen! Hats off to your ingenuity!

I think you'd be surprised. Have you seen the garage accessories they sell at summit? I'd bet you could sell those for 150.00+ each. There's something to be said for a quality tool like that. I hate those plastic ones from wherever, but unfortunately they are the only choice. I personally wouldn't mind having one or both of them, but I'm broke & we're going on vacation next week.

I don't think you could quit you're day job, but it could be a nice side job.

My .02,
Buddy

Those are damn nice looking! You could probably sell those. People like to have their garages as nice or nicer than their rides in alot of cases!

Awesome work man. You could build and sell those online and at truck shows.
