will a drive shaft from a blazer w/ a 400 with 208 fit in one with a sm465with 241? even if driveshaft length wont work will the slip yokes slide out and slide into the other? thanx

GM seems to have basically standardized the length of driveshafts in 81. I was able to remove a 700r4 / NP208 and bolt an NV4500 / NP241 directly in it's place without needing to change my driveshafts. I also used the same driveshafts with an SM465 / NP208 combo at one point in the same truck. Also an NV3500 / NP241 in another truck.

So to answer your question, yes, you should be able to use the driveshaft from the TH400 / NP208 truck in the SM465 / NP241 truck. The slip yolks are the same between the two.

thanx that takes a load of my mind perhaps later i can get the correct drive shafts from a store but just trying to get it running. thank you guy feel so good now:D
