Drive Shaft ?

I am trying to get to the rear main on my 87 K5, i am gonna pull the tranny and tc back enough to get to it, how in the world do i get the drive shafts out. And any help on replacing the main would be great also

There are 4 bolts that hold the flange of the driveshaft to the transfer case. There are also 4 bolts that hold the lower ujoint to the pinion on the axle. Remove those 8 bolts and it comes out.

Not to be a smart ass or anything, but you can't figure out how to remove a driveshaft, but you CAN remove a transmission and replace a rear main seal? /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

Ok, This is the first time I have dealt with a 4wd. I removed and replaced trannys on 2wd. Thanks Hossbaby. I am fairly new to 4wds. Thanks for not being a smartass.
